Abubakar Sheriff

Abubakar Sheriff(B. ENG, MNSE, COREN) is a 1995 civil engineering graduate from the university of Ilorin Nigeria. Since graduation, he has been involved in construction activities for more than Twenty Five years.

His sphere of experience includes the supervision for the construction of access roads to oil locations, dredging of swamps to accommodate heavier barges, construction of town and village roads with culverts and bridges. A these were done in Delta State and Kwara State between 1996 and 2001.

He was with Franki piles of South Africa between year 2002 and 2004 and was involved in the construction of major piling and marine contracts. He was also with Grinaker process engineering of south Africa and was the project engineer and later civIl works manager for the construction of gOmillion lites capacity Folawiyo energy refined petroleum storage facilities in Apapa Lagos between January 2005 and November 2006. He later worked with CAT construction group It as a project manager between 2006 and 2008 where he handled the construction of infrastructure for Arcadia groove estate 5 hectare) and Peace Garden estatezo nectares both in the lekkI axis of Lagos state. He was with suru Groud Ltd between 2008 and zoo where he supervised the complete construction of I2 rooms capacity hotel project Best western hotel, Allen Avenue), construction of 58 units terrace houses on four locations in Ikeja GRA), construction of the group head office, construction of 225 rooms hotel(Retaining wall, Sheet piles and piling work completed and construction of 20 rooms guest house. He was the project manager for the construction o 36 bedrooms Genesis court hotel in Ikeja GRA between July 2012 and December 2013.

He joined the services of Deluxe Residences Ltd since June 2014 as the Executive Director Project and construction services. The company is into the business of Real estate and construction and currently working on the delivery of over 500 units of flats and 50 units of terrace houses in different location within Lekki, Ikoyi and Victoria Island in Lagos, About 30% of which have been delivered and the rest at different stages of completion. He joined VAVA Projects as the Managing Director in October 2022 and has since successfully overseen the construction of the Joneer Court and is currently championing the Crystal Bay Towers Construction.

Abubakar Sheriff is a corporate member of the Nigerian society of Engineers, registered with the council for the regulation of engineering in Nigeria and is happily married with children
